Dr. Yusdinur Usman

Dr. Yusdinur Usman is a multifaceted academic and practitioner with a career spanning research, authorship, and strategic advisory. Since the early 2000s, he has served as a researcher, consultant, and management specialist for a diverse portfolio of international organizations and governmental agencies, including GIZ, Oxfam GB, UNDP, Interpeace, IAP2 Indonesia, and Nonviolent Peaceforce. His public sector experience includes key roles with BRR Aceh-Nias and Bappenas.

In the academic sphere, Dr. Yusdinur is a lecturer and researcher specializing in the intersections of sociology, public policy, and sustainability. His primary areas of expertise include sociological theory: political and organizational sociology, and environmental governance: political ecology, climate justice, and sustainability frameworks.

Dr. Yusdinur earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from two of Indonesia’s most prestigious universities. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Indonesia (UI), where he earned a perfect 4.00 GPA. He also earned his Master’s degree in Sociology from the same institution, graduating with honors (Cum Laude). His academic foundation began at the University of Gadjah Mada (UGM), where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry.
